The Master’s Garden

A quiet, tidy garden, with lots of pigeons, flowers and greenery. This is the Place where the tomb of The Master Petar Deunov is laid. It is located in the Sofia district “Iztok”, opposite the Russian Embassy. The door is always open for everyone. The Master’s grave is in the shape of an ellipse. On the tombstone is inlaid a pentagram – the symbol of the White Brotherhood. The five Christian virtues are written in it – Love, Wisdom, Truth, Justice and Virtue. The sign is in a circle, which symbolizes the divine, and it says: “In fulfilling the will of God is the power of the human soul”. According to Deunov, this is a symbol of the path to perfection of the soul, which his followers strive to walk.
“Opulchenska” 66 – A museum of the Master Beinsa Douno

The house at 66 Opalchenska Street is the Home that housed the Master Beinsa Duno (Petar Dunov) during the period when the first lectures on the New Time were given and the Teacher’s School in Sofia was launched. He moved to the Gumnerov family’s house in 1905. From here in 1914, the public Sunday lectures began, which were later transferred to Izgreva and continued until 1944.
With the help of donations and volunteers and under the unwavering care of the main initiators – lawyer Ruska Ducheva, architect Danka Vasileva, Kostik Mihaylov, today the house has been renovated so that everyone can feel the atmosphere of the Master’s time. The courtyard also contributes to this experience – authentically restored according to memories and photos.
